Context: A global cosmetics company needed to provide Competition Law compliance training to all of its sales representatives.
Challenges: The brand is global and needed to reach a large audience and provide the same foundational training, but with region-specific content and translations. The training is mandatory and covers a highly-regulated area of conducting business. The look and feel was essential to get right due to the brand's reputation.
Solution: This Articulate Storyline eLearning course, designed to engage learners with a main character and a relevant story, was developed with the client and their legal advisors. The content was drafted and then approved by all parties. The course contains region-specific content and learners are provided instructions to view the content relevant to them. To avoid complex and potentially challenging branching, should a learner conduct business in multiple regions, everyone can access all information. Real-world scenarios are provided throughout the course with questions and feedback. A final assessment concludes the course.
Results: A visually engaging course with modern graphics and modern interactions emerged. The client reported a high rate of completion and positive feedback. Client informally reported fewer reports and concerns regarding Competition Law in the six months post implementation.

Context: A not-for-profit organization that focuses on board governance and supports education for Boards of Directors needed an introduction course for newly appointed board members.
Challenges: All courses previously offered by the organization had been in-person or virtual. They are now looking to have all content presented in a self-paced fully digital course. The intention is to have 2.5-3 hours of total learning. This would prove to be challenging for one course.
Solution: This Articulate Storyline course was developed as a series of six smaller modules. Each module includes relevant, real-world scenarios that serve as a "problem to be solved" by the end of each module. Learners then see new learning content, some quick knowledge checks, and some opportunities for reflection. A highlight of the first few modules include AI-voice generated podcasts to explain real-world case studies that serve as examples for the importance of Board Governance (select image for a podcast example). The final module is a cumulative assessment that follows a new director to his first board meeting with the learner helping the character navigate decisions that they too might have to make.
Results: In development and client review.

Context: A large school district is in the beginning phases of implementing a new math curriculum for Pre-K teachers. Teachers needed to build familiarity with the curriculum and the instructional games it outlines playing with the children.
Challenges: This course could not be boring! Some of the games included in the curriculum needed to be translated to be playable in the course. The content needed to be interactive, but not too lengthy. Teachers are busy and would be turned off by extensive content.
Solution: This Articulate Storyline course was developed through several iterations, including a large portion being removed due to it being too much content for the purpose. Teachers are provided a quick review of research to support why this new curriculum was helpful and then they dove right into the fun. Each topic has an engaging game that could then be played in the classroom with children, along with essential vocabulary and instructional strategies to support different math concepts. A mentor teacher guides the course along the way through live-action videos and popup tips throughout the journey. At the end of the training, additional job aids and resources are provided to the teachers to support them as they are getting started. This course is one part of a larger solution implemented by the school district.
Results: In final stages of development and client review.

Context: An investment company needed to ensure compliance with ethical conduct standards and laws. Each learner needed to leave the course understanding how to manage their own personal investments.
Challenges: The client was moving a mandatory VLT ethical conduct compliance training to a standardized eLearning solution. The content might be considered less than engaging, but the client had most of the content developed and an idea for a theme, but needed support implementing it all.
Solution: This branched Articulate Storyline course is designed with a loose story to engage the learner and add some fun elements with what mascot character traveling the world. The mascot idea was sketched by the client and created by the course's graphic designer. The mascot visits different cities with company offices and visits the "town" where content is then presented. The mascot then visits the local office in each area. Real-world scenarios with feedback are presented in each topic, allowing for learners to practice what they learned. Brokers/Dealers are provided an additional topic, when they self-identified their role. In addition, in a joint effort with the client, a trailer animation was created to give an overview of the course and increase learner interest. A cumulative assessment is provided at the end of the course.
Results: While the client did not provide any data after receiving the course, the client was pleased with the quality and detail that was present.

Context: A cloud security company need to provide data privacy compliance training to multiple departments across activities and countries.
Challenges: The company had recently encountered issues being reported surrounding marketing and not properly following data privacy laws. The course needed to be general enough to convey essential information, while not providing too much detail for one particular department over another.
Solution: This Articulate Storyline course was developed to provide quick, yet essential content. The look and feel is modern and fun, while focusing on privacy and technology themes. The interactivity is straightforward and keeps the focus on the content. Knowledge checks with feedback are intertwined and provide learners a chance to assess how they were doing. A separate SCORM package was delivered with a cumulative assessment. This was deployed several weeks after the learning course to review retention.
Results: Four months after deployment, the client reported a high completion rate for the course and 76% pass rate for learners on the first attempt of the assessment, demonstrating mastery of content, at a minimum of two weeks after the course was completed.

Context: A large construction company wanted to provide their employees with a course to explain all of the benefits available to them during new-hire and open enrollment for insurance.
Challenges: This training replaces an HR representative needing to provide the training multiple times a year. The client wanted all information to be accessible to the employees, but not mandatory. Some employees may not need information about dependent coverage or additional life insurance, so it was important to keep non-essential content behind an interaction to avoid every employee feeling they needed to read it.
Solution: This Articulate Rise course is designed with ease of readability in mind. It also provides clear tables and Storyline blocks with calculators, to ensure each employee can leave the course knowing exactly what their out-of-pockets costs will be for coverage, care, and retirement planning. The course is organized around some big questions most people want to know, and those questions help guide the employee to choose what they need to see.
Results: The client reported back that employees preferred to access this information on their own versus needing to "sit through" HR presentations of the same content. Employees also appreciated that the content could be revisited and they could walk away with actual costs.

Context: A tech company who imports and exports physical and digital goods needed to provide compliance training for their employees.
Challenges: This training is for a large-scale, international audience. The client was unfamiliar with e-learning, but wanted to track employee performance to gauge understanding and use data to revise the content in the future.
Solution: This course is designed with proprietary development software that tracks learner performance and provides data insights. The course branches for managers, as they need additional content to support compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. The content is lengthy, but by using intentional screen layouts where like information was grouped together, but broken down into smaller chunks, learners can better attend to the most important information. Clear examples, definitions, and explanations are provided. Real-life scenarios give learners an opportunity to put their new understandings to the test. Feedback is provided whether the learner answers correctly or incorrectly and alternative scenarios are provided, if a second attempted is needed.
Results: Client reported positive feedback from learners, including, "Easy to navigate" and "A helpful tool to test my learning." One year after implementation, data showed 80% or more of learners correctly answered the scenario for each topic correctly on the first attempt.
